The Aromas, Sounds and Gift Ideas for a Wonderful Holiday Morning

A Warm and Cozy House In The Winter

101 West $th Street, Oil City, Pa.  This is where my huband grew up at.

The Silence In The Early Morning
You are the first to open your eyes and you take in the sounds of silence that permeates the air. You get out of your comfy nest and put on your feet down on the warmth of your soft, plush carpet. You slip your feet into your warm and fluffy slippers. That nice soft and warm bathrobe is calling out for you to put on before you slip out the bedroom door to start your day.  If you have a fireplace you most certianly want to start a fire there before you start your day full of family, fun and friends.

The Fireplace That we all used to gather around.

First Things First
As you enter the kitchen your mind fills with all the kinds of goodies you are going to be making for breakfast. First things first though your have to start the coffee brewing. You want to be the first one to get the first cup to wake you up. As you fill your Krups combination expresso cappuccino, latte machine and coffee maker, the aroma of fresh brewed coffee starts filling the room with o most wonderful eye opening aroma. You have the first cup and go sit in the big comfy soft chair and enjoy your coffee in silence before everyone else wakes up. You are so glad that your coffee maker is a ten cup one and is enough to feed your family and are also glad that the expresso part will fill 4 cups of the elixir of cappuccino for those who also like that instead of the coffee.

Some Nice Music

As the rich and inviting aroma of coffee lingers through the air and reaches the far corners of the bedrooms. It wakes the sleepy heads out of bed and brings then to the kitchen for the hearty breakfast. Each one is also in their bathrobe and slippers. One by one they come into the warm and sweet smells that drift throughout the kitchen and into the rest of the house. Somewhere in between you fixing the coffee and your family arriving in the kitchen you put a CD of holiday music in your Sony Under-cabinet CD clock radio playing in the background. It has 15 presets, auto set clock and a cooking timer, and a holder so you can connect and listen to digital music. What a perfect Holiday morning.

The Smell of Food Wakes Everyone Up
Mom has pancakes on the electric griddle. The crackling of frying bacon on her new Lodge cast iron reversible grill/griddle is music to your ears and makes your tummy grumble more for the breakfast you are about to eat. Oh the smell of bacon frying wakes anybody up. The smell of the pancakes coupled with that of the sausage and bacon makes you anticipate the filling of your tummy.

Banana, Walnut and Raisin Bread Recipe
Along with these things there is a huge plate full of different kinds of breads. One of my favorites is on the plate. It is a very simple recipe. It is Banana, Walnut, and Raisin Bread. For the recipe you need three really ripe bananas, 2 eggs and a box of yellow cake mix. That is all there is.
Now you preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
While it is getting hot you dump in the mashed bananas, yellow cake mix and eggs and mix with your brand new KitchenAid mixer for about 2 minutes.
Then you add the chopped walnuts and the raisins and stir them in.
Spray the pan with some cooking oil spray and pour the cake mix in the pan.
You can use any size or shape of pan that you want including a loaf pan.
Cook by the directions on the cake mix box.
Cool for about 10 minutes and then flip over onto a platter.

This bread can be frozen too.

Cookies and Cakes!
After Mom cleans up the kitchen she gets out all the baking sheets to start making cookies. This year she is trying out her new Wilton Cookie Master Plus Cookie Press. The set Includes 12 metal disks in classic and seasonal shapes, 4 accent tips for decorating and filling, 2 recipe booklets, a unique dough guard. She wants to start baking new cookies this year and is eager to make some appetizers and other snack things. She is also thinking about cake decorating too.

Watching Movies
Everyone is finishing up their breakfasts and is starting to move towards the living room to watch a good movie or two.   What more could anyone want?

While they are doing that Mom is finishing up the dishes, has her final cup of coffee and joins the rest of her family in the living room. Everybody is talking, laughing and having a grand time. Someone mentions a game of football in the back yard. Dad said that it will be later in the afternoon but first he wants to sit and let his big breakfast settle and watch some more Hoiliday movies.

The Truth About Welfare Recipients

My Personal Experience of Being on Welfare.

There has been lots of media about those who are on the present day welfare system and it isn’t good.  With anything dealing with many people and the views and culture for each one you will have good and bad things come out of it.  People are getting on the bandwagon to denigrate people who have no choice in using such a fine system.  To those who shun others or spread that all those who are on welfare are drug addicts or an alcoholic that is simply untrue.  They haven’t a clue.  There is something really wrong with that.  It puts a negative light on that and causes more shame and guilt for those who might have to use that system at some point in their lives.  Most do not or haven’t ever entertained the thought of asking for help like that.  Most people are brought up to do for themselves and are expected to do so at all times in their lives.  Many of us don’t go looking to do that.

I, for one, would be homeless and on the streets if it weren’t for my parent’s and that Welfare System many years ago.  Never in my wildest thought did I think I would end up there.  I am thankful for all those who pay taxes to help subsidize this program.  I was not and have never been a drug addict, an alcoholic or anyone who uses others for my needs.  Needs, not wants.  There is a big difference in that.  Everyone needs certain things to live in this world.  The main ones are Shelter and Food. I was about to find out what these two were up close and personal many years ago.

Just like everyone else I had a great family and needed nothing.  That wasn’t to last as troubles came into our relationship and I kind of saw the ending but tried as I might I never thought that I would have to9 even ask for a place to live or go about getting food for my very needs.  Oh I had a job after the split and had a semi-reliable place to live but it wasn’t want was supposed to happen when I got told that I would need to find a place to live in 2 weeks’ time.

Homelessness loomed over me like a big black cloud.  I never thought that I would be in this position.  I had a job there, but I didn’t know many people and didn’t want to ask them for my room and board.  I didn’t know anyone that well.  It was a very scary time in my life and never ever dreamed that this would happen to me.  It was surreal and I just wanted to wake up form this horrible nightmare.  My parents took their vacation home off the market so that I would have a place to live.  They didn’t charge me rent, but I had to pay for my own utilities and food and other needed things.  I was doing well until I had a medical problem that forced me into the hospital for 2 units of blood and my supervisor thought that I didn’t want to work at all.  We had a conference call one day and there was a lawyer as the third party.  This supervisor hung up on both of us and the case was dropped.  Oh I let the supervisor know about my health problems and how I had to take care of them.  He was not a people person.  So that threw me more into a scarier place when I found that I also did not have a job.  I had no idea how I was going to survive without a job and no social security.  I didn’t qualify for that anyway.  There I sat in my parent’s vacation home.  My youngest daughter came to live with me but I wanted to support her and me and get a life.  I didn’t want to depend on anyone else for my livelihood.  I didn’t want to go to the Welfare Department.  That was furthest from my mind.  I surely would get a job, but knew no one around this new place.

I did suck up my pride and went to Welfare and at least I did get some medical assistance for my daughter.  My ex was giving me money for her and found out that they told me that I made $1.00 (yep exactly and no kidding) more and did not qualify for anything more.  It was a sticky problem and that is behind me now.  Through the Department of Health and Human Resources I found a good program and it is connected with the Welfare System.  Without that I would have been homeless.  I was and still am a good person.  It was very difficult for me to go to the Welfare program because of all the negative propaganda that people put out about things they have no idea about.  I wish they would stop.

There was a program called Displaced Homemaker and it was also connected with the Welfare programs.  That was a godsend.  Let me tell you how many amazing women were in that program when I came to be in it too.  Not one of them were alcoholics, drug users or looked like that.  They were all brought together much in the same way as my situation took me.  On this program I had a few programs that I could have gone through.  If it weren’t that I need a job so bad I would have taken the 4 year college route.  Being as that I had to get a job ASAP I went through a secretarial program that lasted 18 months.  I put all my effort into graduating from that.  It was very hard with finally getting ajob and a car that broke down every week and raising a daughter on my own.  I did it though and I ended up on the Dean’s List.   Not one of us out of about 100 women mis-used the Welfare System and I can’t remember anyone who went through Welfare when I did that mis-used the program either.

Find out what the NEW elegiblility Requirement are to get Welfare here: State Funding Requirement Under The NEW Welfare Law  This is the whole and each state has slightly different requirements.

For households in the 48 Contiguous States and the District of Columbia October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015. To get SNAP benefits, households must meet certain tests, including resource and income tests:
  • Households may have $2,250 in countable resources, such as a bank account, or $3,250 in countable resources if at least one person is age 60 or older, or is disabled.  However, certain resources are NOT counted, such as a home and lot, the resources of people who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI)…..
  • Most households must meet both the gross and net income tests, but a household with an elderly person or a person who is receiving certain types of disability payments only has to meet the net income test…….
  • The amount of benefits the household gets is called an allotment. The net monthly income of the household is multiplied by .3, and the result is subtracted from the maximum allotment for the household size to find the household's allotment. This is because SNAP households are expected to spend about 30 percent of their resources on food……
  • With some exceptions, able-bodied adults between 16 and 60 must register for work, accept suitable employment, and take part in an employment and training program to which they are referred by the local office. Failure to comply with these requirements can result in disqualification from the Program…..

If you want to learn about Immigration and the qualifications of such they are also on the link above.

Before you spread propaganda about things which you have not experienced or learned of yourself just pass it by and not spread the lies.  You don’t know what you are doing and how it hurts those who need this program.  If you see or know of someone that may be on the Welfare System, instead of degrading them, ask them how you could help.  It may be as simple as sitting down and listening or a free lunch or support searching.  There is a saying about giving fish but the greater is teaching how to fish for themselves.  This economy is so bad these days that these situations are becoming more the norm than not.  What can you do to help spread love instead of shame and guilt?  Turn it around.  It begins with you.

Fall Football, Apples, Pumpkins and Halloween

Fall is around the corner and I can tell by the leaves are a changing their colors and falling from the trees.  Oh it is only August here, but when it gets this dry that is what the leaves will do.  Fall or Autumn brings up brightly colored landscapes, rustling of leaves and cooler temperatures. There is something about Fall that no other season brings. Open your door on your way out and a breath of fresh cool fresh air hits you in the face. It does wake you up.  The stifling hot air of summer has now gone away. It is hard to miss the brightly colored leave on the trees.  They are so pretty of oranges, brown, some greens and bright yellows.  They are also going to be gone away in just a few short months when winter comes around. Squirrels scurry around gathering seeds and nuts to store for the winter.  Some raccoons and opossums gorge themselves before they take their winter’s nap.  Birds that migrate start heading to south where there is still warm temperatures.

Tis the season for some football! There are games being played in schools, colleges and in cities where the major and minor leagues play and you can see them all.  We switch from light and airy clothes of summer to light jackets and leggings in the Autumn.  Blankets with team motifs are brought out of storage and put on the furniture.

Along with the football enthusiasts there are pumpkins and apples and a variety of squash that are being harvested.  Children are having a blast in the pumpkin fields and moms are making lots of apple pies.  Some are baking and canning and getting ready for the much colder months.  The aromas fill the room and the houses and float on the air.  Neighbors get a whiff of your baked goods when the door or the kitchen window is opened and the aroma sneaks out.  Can’t you just see mom and granny sitting in the kitchen chatting and drinking hot apple cider while they are making and baking for a bake sale?  Yum, Yum.

There is food and drink aplenty that comes only at this time of the year. Here is a song that will bring back lots of memories. The words are here so you can sing it too.

Enjoy:

SIPPIN' CIDER

The prettiest girl

I ever saw

Was sippin' cider
Through a straw
The prettiest girl I ever saw
Was sippin' cider through a straw
I asked her if
She'd teach me how
To sip some cider
Through a straw
I asked her if she'd reach me how
To sip some cider through a straw
First cheek to cheek
Then jaw to jaw
We sipped that cider
Through a straw
First cheek to cheek, then jaw to jaw
We sipped that cider through a straw
And now and then
That straw did slip
And we'd sip cider
Lip to lip
And now and then that straw did slip
And we'd sip cider lip to lip
And now I've got
A mother-in-law
And nineteen kids
That call me "Paw"
And now I've got a mother-in-law
And nineteen kids that call me "Paw"
The moral of
This little tale
Is sip your cider
Through a pail

Halloween

Halloween is not an evil dark celebration in the fall.  It is not about how evil comes out through many different things that Christianity tells us to believe that it does.
Pagan, the word conjures up many evil things in a Christians mind.  They have been led to believe evil comes out at Halloween.  Is that a rue statement to some?  Yes they believe so.  But is it true?
What is true though is that Pagan’s were country-folk and that Christianity  stole all their celebrations and traditions, made them their won , twisted them to make their people believe that they are evil.
Dressing up as evil spirits was not to bring them out, but to scare them off.

So when you are teaching your young children about Halloween teach them the truth and let them wear scary costumes to scare those scary beings away.  Think about it!  If monster costumes scare monsters away, what do you think angels would scare area?

Kids (Young Adults) who kill. What Is Wrong With Them?

WHAT MAKES A CHILD Or Young Adult VIOLENT?

Most of the mainstream educators and others who have hands in raising children seem to think that Violence begets Violence.  They have tried to obliterate anything they think has a violent tendency.   You can see this on social media, in writing sites, on search engine and even in the school system.  Parents have listened to the media and have come to think that they all tell the truth but they do not.  Violence does not beget violence else everyone on the planet would be violent.  Learning about bodily functions and using the correct words or even talking about such things has become taboo.  Parents are told they will beget what we don’t want in our children and in society.  It does not.  Your child is a growing adult. A child has many learning process they will go through to be a functioning adult in society and it starts in the womb.

The media has brought about many changes in the way that we have raised our children.  It is true that there is more violence shown on the TV, in the newspapers and periodicals.  This in turn has desensitized many. Parents now think that this brings about more violent tendencies in their children. Some use it as a way to teach self-defense.  That’s a big one for you.  If there were no violence then there would be no need to be violent back.  Self-Defense is used as an excuse to be violent against another.  All those video’s with violent play and killing, they are all murdering and it’s all under the guise of self-defense.  Is the answer, just don’t let them see or hear it and they won’t do it?  Those kinds of thoughts have been with us for a very long time and many see these things on a daily basis in some form or another and it doesn’t make them violent.  I don’t think this is the answer.

Sandy Hook Elementary School Murderer

Dylann Roof SC Church Murderer

In the news in the last decade there have been reports of children or young adults going on killing sprees such as what
Columbin CO High School Murderers
happened in the Columbine High School, the theater and in Sandy Hook Elementaryschool and now Dylann Roof and the murdering of the Charleston SC church members.  It seems that some of our youth seems to be on a track of self-destruction.  They seem to not be able to stop the killing as they go on to mass murder everyone in sight.  It makes little difference if they are related to the victims or just that the victims are just in the way.

Many questions have been brought up about these youth, their upbringing and their mental health.  Many bewildered adults and children have asked questions like: Why are our children doing this. Is the cause our water or in the food that we consume, or is it deeper than that?

These questions I will try to answer in the article.

Is it violence on TV or other Electronic Devises?

It has been proven that some electric waves produce bad effects on adults.  Electronics is fairly new in our society and we are just learning some things about all the various electronics or waves that affect us.  Since the invention of the TV we have set our youth down in front of it.  We have treated it like a Babysitter as some device that will keep our children happy for hours while the parents are doing something else.  All those waves bombarding the children do cause ill effects.  Many parents and the toy industry disbelieve that these do affect the children.  All one has to do is look at the number of children as early as the age of 12  who go haywire later in their teens or young adulthood to see the correlation.

Research has proven that these children get addicted to the video games and anything having to do with the Internet.  What causes it?  It is the rewards/punishment process they get from playing the game.   It’s the high and escape from their reality they get from using or as parent’s do when they give them candy as a reward.  We are training them to do these things.

We can see the addictive affects when we try to take their games away from them or the Internet and cell phones, yes cell phones too.  The proper term is “Screen Addictive Children”.

The meaning of addiction is:
•         Inability to avoid that which you are addicted to
•         A lack of control over your behavior
•         Uncontrolled need for the thing that you are addicted too, most likely the rewarding experience computer or video games gives.
•         Problematic relationship skills and behavior towards others.
•         Emotions become erratic
When parents took away the game or Internet the children did exhibit signs of addiction in that they were depression, unable to deal with stress in their lives at school and at home, elevated anger and aggression, mood swings, thought processes don’t correlate to their situation, they become more violent.

Violence Begets Violence?

The current mode of thought for mainstream educators and others who have a hand in raising children believe that violence creates violence.  You are able to see this in social media, on the writing sites, and in the school system as they try to obliterate anything and everything that they even consider has a violent tendency.  Parents listen to the media tell them that they too need to do so lest we create a violent child and they come to believe that the media tells the complete truth; they don’t.  Violence doe not automatically beget violence else everyone on the planet would be violent.

The media has brought about many changes in the way we have raised our children.  It is true that there is ever more and more violence shown on TV, in movies, in the newspapers, and other periodicals.  This in turn has desensitized many.  Many parents now believe that this brings about the need to teach self-defense.  Self-Defense is nothing more than an excuse to be violent in return.  But, if there was no violence then there would be no need to be violent back.

A child goes through many leaning processed along he way to becoming a functioning adult in society, and those processes begin in the womb.  Learning about bodily functions, using the correct vocabulary, or even discussing violence with a child has become taboo.  Is the answer to the epidemic of violent children, just don’t let them see of hear about violence and they won’t do it?  This mode of thought has been with us for quite a while now and many children see these things on a daily basis in one form or another yet it doesn’t make them violent.  Obviously this is not the answer.  Read about what science has proven about the age of when criminal activity starts: Life of Crime starts at a very young age

Could it be food or water?

There are many studies conducted on this very thing.  Remember the Salem Witch Trials?  They found that there was a fungus Claviceps purpurea on the grain they were eating.  The common name is Ergot.  This Ergot starts out like a spore and then takes over the fertilization of the plant itself.  It can lower the harvest rate of the crops.  The end product of this spore is like a tiny mushroom, making it difficult to notice. It is also difficult to eradicate in the growing area as it stays dormant until conditions are just right for it to reproduce.  Frigid cold winters and wet Springs are some of the conditions it likes to grow in. It was first reported in 1676.  Humans and animals and even insects can get the disease called Ergotism, or as the Monks who treated the disease, Saint Anthony’s Fire.  It was named that because it also caused severe burning sensations in the extremities of the body.

Symptoms of Ergotism include:
·       Hallucinations, irrational behavior and also death.
·       Powerful contractions in the uterus, sick feeling in the stomach, convulsions and loss of consciousness. Physician’s in the Middle Ages use this as a way to induce labor, to cause a woman to abort her child and also to stop bleeding post-delivery.
·       Ergot alkaloids and caffeine were also used to treat migraine headaches. Ergot extract isn’t used anymore by the pharmaceutical industry.

Rye is Ergot’s favorite plant to infest but others include Wheat and Barley.  Not only are we finding out that many people have problems with gluten that is a product of wheat and corn, but that wheat and other cereal grains also can have this disease as well.  For more information about this go to:  “The Witches Curse” a program on PBS.ORG

Other foods that cause tantrums in children include:
  • Salicylates in fruit, mint, tomato flavored foods and also in fruits and some vegetables
  • Preservatives
  • Artificial color
  • MSG,
  • synthetic antioxidants i.e. E320
  • Dairy foods.
  • Sugar

Food Additives such as colors cause irritability, mood disorders. anxiety, depression, a hard time concentrating, problems learning, skin irritations, GERD, extended belly, diarrhea, wetting the bed, headaches and migraines.  Check with what you are eating if you have lots of flu and colds during the year as these can also be caused due to preservatives or coloring in your foods.
Familiarize yourself with the List of Food Additives and Colors.

Could it be in the drugs that we take or the vaccines?

There is lots of information on this on the Internet.  We have recently in the past decade realized that some chemicals that are put in our vaccine that are to prevent diseases are the cause of some conditions we didn’t think would happen.  The most prevalent debate is the insurgence of Autism from the vaccine in which we give to our children to prevent Chicken Pox.  It is Mercury that is the *preservative* that is present in the vaccine.

Other drugs that cause aggressive tendencies in our children are:
Alcohol: Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is caused by mom’s that drank alcohol when they were pregnant.  Complications presented in the infant after birth is a problem with behavior, among other things which do not pertain to this article.  Heavy alcohol use lends itself to higher incidents of aggression in children and adults.
Anabolic Steroids, Anabolic steroids are drugs are used to build up muscle mass faster than you can with just exercising. It has been documented that some that take these steroids get into fights, they do aggressive crimes i.e. burglary and or armed robbery. They act in ways that they typically would not act had they not taken the drug.
Depressant/Downers such as Valium or Diazapam.
Cocaine

With all the hype about body image it is easy to see why some children get and use these drugs.

With all the hype about body image it is easy to see why some children get and use these drugs.
What are we teaching our children?  What are they seeing in us that we don’t see in us?  It is up to you to raise your child and from the minute it is born.  I hope that I have answered some of the questions you seek answers to.  Just what makes our children do violent things?

Three Disturbing Dreams I Had

I have had three disturbing dreams the last two weeks.

The first one:  I was smelling some smoke like there was something burning outside of my house.  I go out and get to the end of the ramp in front of my house and look to the left and I do see smoke coming from the side of my house.  I walk across my driveway about halfway.  I look straight over and there is a Tyrannosaurus Rex running up the hill coming right at me.  I look to the road in front of my house and there is a vehicle shaped like a black cat with a couple of people in it and they are going down the road that leads to the other side of the ravine to their house.  I was scared in that dream  When I awoke I was breathing really hard, like I was scared.

The next night I had that same exact dream.  The difference was that when I saw the T-Rex coming up the hill and running towards me, I said to myself, in that dream, that this is just a dream and I woke myself up.

The next dream was that mys husband and I and Duke were in this park and we were watching Duke run and play and he kept coming back to us and running out to a pole.  We were happy and Duke was happy and we all were happy just watching Duke have a grand time running around.

The last dream that I remember, I was carving a circle in a tree.  I was used a short drill bit to make this circle on the tree.  My husband was with me and we were talking about all the fun times and things that we did together when we first met.  While we were talking I was having trouble making a circle on the tree and that I was making a half of a heart shape instead.  I could not get that drill to do what I wanted it to do.  I mentioned that to my husband and then the dream ended.

I just had to write these done.

What are your thoughts on any of these?

Kingdom

If you were given a planet such as ours and you had to put all kinds of life on it. On this planet you had a specific amount of room for each group of life.
How would you keep the populations down to that certain level?

NO Religion in this please.

I used to play a computer text game in the early to mid 90's that was called Kingdom. In the game you had to grow food for a certain amount of people, You were never given the number of the amount of people that you had to keep.  You had to harvest it. The game had things like Rats that would eat your stores and new people would come to your kingdom and some would leave.

It was a game of thinking and of stragedy more than anything else.
I played that for months and still never got it to be perfect or even close to perfect.

I often killed all the people in my kingdom.

So how would you make yor world keep your life manageable.

Would you need to kill off something or make one go extinct so that you could make a better species or lofe form?

Would you grow more food for all or would you make a desaster strike so that it would keep the populations in check?

Would you use disease to hold down a polulation?

Infant antibiotic use linked to adult diseases -- ScienceDaily

Pay close attention to this news all you parent or soon to be parents.

A new study has found a three-way link among antibiotic use in infants, changes in the gut bacteria, and disease later in life.

Just a Quote For Today It is National Arbor Day Today!

http://hawaiianforest.com/wp/the-poamoho-fence/
Today is Natioal Arbor Day.  I thought this quote was fitting for today.

Quote for today:

"Forest Revival: Koa is the king of Hawaii's endemic forests, the only places it grows. Reaching up to a hundred feet tall, these flowering trees once provided wood for native Islander's canoes and surfboards. But more than two centuries of logging and clearing the land for grazing have reduced Koa forests to about 215,000 acres, perhaps half their original expanse."

GOOD NEWS HERE:

"To reverse this decline, private landowners and state and federal governments have planted hundreds of thousands of trees over the past 35 years. The new Koa forests attract birds, insects, and plants and improve watersheds, which helps humans too.

Writing as Art

http://pixgood.com/writing-pen-clipart.html

Do you think handwriting is a lost form?  With the inception of the internet most people are thinking that writing is on the way out.  That simply is not true.

http://imgkid.com/cursive-handwriting-clipart.shtml
In the early years of your education you learn to write in cursive.  It is an artistic form of writing and you used it in every day writing since then.  Now some people are saying that they do not need to teach that anymore and the block writing that is more often than not easier to read.  It has started as simplly in your education all the way up to what beuty writing can be as Caligraphy.

I do not think that it will ever go out of style to write in cursive.  There ae many ways that you use it as writing your signature.  Thought there is the new internet and that many things can be used to give your credence to things you will always use your signature and also print out your name in various places.  Some of those that demand your written signature and also your printed name are on loans.  Have you recently bought a new car?  Did you have to sigh and print your name on about 12 pages of papers to get that car?  How about when you go to the grocery store and that you use your credit or debit card, you also had to sing your name on the credit card receipt.  When you got a mortgage, you also had to put your signature and print your names on that as well.  Notary Publics sign their names to all kinds of legal documents as well.  I do not think that teaching cursive writing is ever going to go out of style or use.

Writing has been a form of art form thousands of years.  Writing is big business.  Just take a look at what kinds of things they sell in all kinds of stores from Dollar Stores to Grocery stores and Office supply stores.  You can buy stationery sets, drawing tablets, paper, pens rulers, colored pens, colored pencils, pens that have smells of good things.  What do you think of when you smell blueberries or strawberries?  How about the smell of apple pie?  Doesn’t that get your memories going and your creativity started?

Papermate and Bic are huge makers and suppliers of colored ink pens. All the colors of the rainbow are at your fingertips.  Use your imagination or get it all going by using colored ink in your correspondence and other things that you write.

Mr. Sketcher is a company that sells scented markers.  Imagine smelling an orange and drawing a picture of an orange grove.  How about the smell of the blueberry and moments later you have drawn a blueberry pie.  Your canvas can be of white drawing paper to colored paper and imagine writing a letter to your love or children with these and share your imagination and foster their imaginations when they open their stationery that you hand-picked for them.  Another company sells pens that smell like Lavender, Pina Colada and coffee.  How’s that to wake you up in the morning?  Did you know that a simple aroma can bring memories to you that you once though lost?  Yes, indeed.  Science has found that the sense of smell can trigger memories of all kinds to the individual.  Color can too and is used to manipulate emotions of all kinds.

Don’t you just want to go write or doodle right now?  Go ahead and use your cursive and imagination to sign, write and draw your life.
